Facebook and Instagram merge their group chats

Facebook has opened the possibility of creating group chats with Instagram users and vice versa, something ideal to gather many friends in the same conversation.

From now on you can start a group conversation with users of both social networks, either from Instagram or from Facebook. In addition, these will be the most versatile, since they will integrate the best of the two platforms.

As the company has announced, in these group conversations you will be able to have the advantages of Facebook Messenger even if you are talking from Instagram, such as surveys, so that you can easily create one to vote for an important decision. You can even access the option to view shared content.

The fact that the company facilitates this integration indicates that it is the first interested in facilitating communications between Instagram and Facebook users, and for this reason, it has wanted to make things easier, also adding some news that had not yet reached direct messages from Instagram.

In addition to this, a good number of new features have been added, such as the possibility of applying different themes in the chats, with the premiere of some themes created by Facebook itself —one of them inspired by J Balvin's latest album— that you can download and apply in the Messenger application.
