A number of sources in Facebook social media company called CEO Mark Zuckerberg have decided to testify before the US Congress over a personal data-busting scandal by analysts working for the Donald Trump campus team.
Zuckerberg's sources have accepted the fact that he should testify to Congress within the next few weeks, and Facebook is currently planning a strategy to craft his testimony.

The pressure of the legislators, the media and the public on the 33-year-old man is getting tighter these days.
A number of sources quoted by CNN on Tuesday (27/3) believes Zuckerberg's willingness to testify will put pressure on Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to do the same.
Chairman of the Senate Legal Commission Chuck Grassley has invited the three leaders of the company in a hearing on data privacy issues on 10 April.

Meanwhile, Zuckerberg rejected the request of British legislators to answer questions related to social media privacy practices and instead send two representatives.
Facebook has been hit by a crisis of confidence since Cambridge Analytica, the data company linked to Donald Trump's campaign in the 2016 presidential election, reportedly accessed information from 50 million users of social media without the owners' knowledge.

Facebook is now faced with the challenge of restoring public confidence in its commitment to privacy and data protection.
The scandal also highlights issues closely related to the company: business data exploitation. Facebook benefits by harvesting user data and sharing it with app developers with advertisers.
Meanwhile, preventing data buyers from passing the data to third parties with a covert motive seems unlikely to be possible.
