How does #facebook work? Is it #free? What’s in it for them but more importantly, what’s in it for #you? How about the #time you spend #scrolling or #debating? Is it worth it? Do you sometimes feel it’s time wasted? How can you use Facebook more effectively?

Without a strategy these hashtags don’t mean anything. But here’s the thing, the #CV is no longer enough to #market your #skills, #competencies, and #experience. It’s now a part of your overall worth. #media platforms such as Facebook are opportunities for reputation management. They also provide opportunities for a personal public relations offensive. I know a guy who was making #biology videos on #YouTube. He was approached by a University and offered a job as a lecturer. Remember YouTube used to be a platform for funny cat videos? Not anymore. We still have cats and other animals with YouTube channels though.
As for Facebook, it has evolved from a platform for teenagers to a serious media platform. With a Facebook page, you can run a business page linked to a business Instagram account. You can create monetisable content or sell products and services. It’s a marketplace because it’s populated with people and people buy and sell stuff.
