Yep, the problem with gay being a permanent thing is that all the gay men i know all have had some serious trauma with women. If it wasn't for this mental component, i would be more in the "permanent" camp.

In my opinion gay men should properly be defined as bisexual, with a current mental focus towards only men.

Now, on about what you are attracted to.
We should really have studies about this. There are too many fetishes that completely defy it being just mental. However, again, there is signs that early childhood trauma and other molding episodes effect it.

When you get to be an adult, you are attracted to what you are attracted to. And it isn't something you can just change with will power.

However, you can ... when you heal the childhood trauma, it often resets ... i don't know how to put it...

Say someone has a overwhelming preference for large bosoms. And then you heal that person of a childhood trauma dealing with not getting enough nourishment (often emotional nourishment) then, after that, they often still like large bosoms, but other bosoms have an attraction too.

And f-c-book sucks.
