Facebook faces fine for "privacy laws"

Belgian court ordered Facebook to immediately stop violating the privacy laws of its users, otherwise it will face a fine, according to the newspaper "The Guardian" British.

A Belgian court has threatened Facebook with a fine of up to 100 million euros if it continues to violate privacy laws, the newspaper said.

She said the decision came after Belgium's privacy watchdog filed a case against Facebook after it filed several complaints from users.

The agency said Facebook uses different ways to track people's behavior online, even if they are not online.

The court ordered that Facebook delete all data, which it collected illegally from Belgian citizens, including people who are not using the social site.

Facebook, which will be fined 250,000 euros a day or up to 100 million euros if it does not comply, said it would appeal the ruling, according to a statement.

She explained that the technology she uses was in line with privacy law standards, and gives users the right to refuse to collect data on websites and applications on their advertising platform.
