Foundation in winter: this is what changes

We have seen that in terms of beauty not all seasons are the same. As the skin routine changes from season to season , in the same way, makeup should be changed and in particular the foundation, or the makeup product that comes into contact with the skin of the face. Here are some tips to change your foundation routine with the arrival of winter.

1.If you need an extra boost of hydration before foundation, before going into the shower, sprinkle your face with a veil of moisturizer. The heat of water and steam will deepen the active ingredients of the moisturizer.

2.If you have opted for the previous step, pass a tonic on the entire face with a cotton pad. This will remove all the residues of cream and prepare the face for subsequent treatments (the tonic should always be passed anyway).

3.During the winter you need to hydrate "strategically". You can opt for example for a good tonic all over your face and for a richer moisturizer only on the most dehydrated areas such as areas near the nose and forehead.

5.If you are used to wearing powder foundation, in winter you would do well to wear a creamy formulation as it can better retain moisture and gives a smoother finish.

6.If you want to lighten your cream foundation, creating a lightweight product, you can always mix primers and foundations instead of layering one on top of the other.

7.In case of extremely dry skin, you can amplify the moisturizing power of your foundation with a few drops of organic oil (such as argan oil or jojoba oil).

8.If during the application of foundation you do not want to lift any skin and scales of dry skin, the best solution is to use a beauty blender also in an economic version . You have to tap the product on the skin, and never rub it, just so you will have the confidence to "flatten" dry skin.
