Discovering Faith
While taking photos of the landscape and wildlife at Moody Park (formerly Longacre), I came upon this stone in the grass that had "Faith" painted on it. I instantly thought, "People really need more of that." Then, I kept walking. I got a few feet away before I decided to turned around capture the stone. While shooting the stone, I wondered how it got there. Was it lost? Did someone place it there on purpose? I didn't know. So, I didn't disturb the stone. When I finished capturing the stone, I continued my primary agenda focusing on the landscape and wildlife.
Several days later, I showed the photos I took at my work. While showing them to my supervisor named Kayla, she told me that the stone was apart of a social movement called The Kindness Rocks Project (TKRP). I had never heard of it before. So, I performed a Google search and found the website for TKRP. Their goals for starting this movement are stated on their website and are as follows:
Inspire others through randomly placed rocks asking the way.
Recruit every person who stumbled upon it to join in the pursuit of inspiring others through random acts of kindness.
I'm going to join the movement by creating my own painted rocks and placing them throughout my region. I urge others to do the same.
