RE: Which app will overtake steemit.com in 2019? My Guess: Steem Monsters.
I would be happy to challenge you against that prediction but since Steem Monsters is the only one...I can only agree, due to not having alternatives who can overtake steemit.com, at the moment.
I also hope there will be more alternatives for people who just don’t like playing a card game.
Steem Monsters on it’s own will be a great succes and I’m happy for those who like to play off course. But i guess the majority of steemit.com users are not that interested in playing such games.
Leaving a rather small group of enthousiasts playing steem monsters in the end imho.
But on the other hand, if they are able to attract people from outside of the steem stratosphere, maybe they will pull tens of thousands of people into their game willing to buy cards.
We’ll surely find out in 2019! Exciting times!

There are people who just hate games. I am one of them. The word "game" itself is the biggest turn-down thing for me. I see playing games as the worst waste of time, given to humans as a limited resource (life time). I would rather leave steem completelly, ( maybe even all cryptos -- in general), rather than starting to waste my preciuos time for "games"
Guys make a world of Warcraft spin-off with in-game steem instead of gold. I wil give this idea to a developer friend of me he just started his own it company. Play earning your houserent.
