After the recent events at Steemit Inc. I wanted to be more outspoken about a lot of things on the blockchain.
One of those things was to be very transparent about the witnesses @blockbrothers votes for.
We (@s3rg3, @eqko, @bennierex, @brittandjosie and myself) kept our word and we just released out latest list with upcoming changes here.
What I'm proud of is that a lot of members of the community have entrusted us with their witness proxy vote.
@blockbrothers can almost vote with 3x more strength on witnesses than before and it's still growing!

If you like our efforts to be more transparent about witness votes you can set us as your voting proxy and we will be able to vote on witnesses in your name (and only that! we can't vote for posts or anything else).

New Beginnings
The end of 2018 was rough for all of us. But you just can't get this community down for long it seems!
Development is still going strong with all the apps across the board (just check out SOTD) and even Steemit inc. is recovering from their massive blow focusing on totally on MIRA now.
Just this morning I saw some new changes on Github.
Things are moving again! It's what I love to see.
Even the price had a small uptick! :)

This is all very exciting to see! For me it is no brainer voting for you guys as a witness. Perhaps one day I will proxy my vote to you, but for now there are still some smaller witnesses that I like giving my support to.
Developers and witnesses will continue to consolidate as price remains low but as MIRA gets launched, it should reduce the cost and expand the communities above willing to commit to the future of Steem which can create a good base!

The @pifc curation contest had the most entries since HF20 and the quality of the featured blog posts was higher then it's been in a long time. Like seeing this activity.
Sure you have noticed that SBD has been rising nicely against BTC. Starting to wonder if it's getting ready to run up again.
