I just spend a good portion of my morning listening to the complete FreedomEx Exchange AMA recording below.

And if they can make all their promises come true this is a monster in the works. It will bring loads of liquidity to the Steem Ecosystem.

What I liked the most from listening to the AMA.

1. Fiat Trading pairs

---

From the start their will be 3 Fiat Trading pairs WITH DEPOSIT AND WITHDRAWAL options and later this will expand to 6 covering 97% of all Steem Users.

Here are the pairs:

STEEM/USD
STEEM/CAD
STEEM/EURO

and later...

STEEM/KRW
STEEM/YUAN
STEEM/AUD

Fiat to STEEM entry points have been lacking and this could help in that department tremendously. They also claimed that in the next couple of months it will be possible to buy STEEM directly with CC on FreedomEx.

2. STEEM as main trading pair for the exchange.

Next to Fiat entries it will also be possible to trade STEEM directly to other cryptos.

This takes away extra steps (and fees) your normally have to take if you want to change STEEM to other crypto besides ETH/Bitcoin.

3. Integration with Steem Engine tokens.

---

Will this mean that everyone that has made a token on Steem-Engine will be able to get listed on FreedomEx?

Absolutely not! In other words it's highly unlikely you will find the EXYLE token on their exchange anytime soon.

To have it listed you need to require a good value proposition but also need all the proper paperwork.

In the AMA they talk about Dtube a lot as an example of a good project that could get listed on FreedomEx through Steem-Engine.

4. Referral and FreedomEx token.

It is possible to invest in the Exchange by buying FreedomEx tokens. If you have 1500 of them after April 30th you trading fees will be 0% for life. Also 75% of the total trading fees will be redistributed to FreemdomEx token holders.

They also have a referral program:

For each of your referrals, you will receive 50% of trading fee revenue. You will continue receiving this for the life of the account. It does not expire. Any new referrals after April 30th, 2019 will be eligible for 25% of trading fee revenue. Again, this continues for the life of the account. It does not expire.

That's pretty impressive.

Have I invested yet?

There is still plenty of FreedomEx tokens to go around. I think they sold 0.5 million out of 20 million.

The moment I see the exchange working and the Fiat Trading pairs withdrawals and deposits working I would be very temped indeed.

But for now the answer is no. I have burned myself too many times investing in promises I am naturally cautious.

Right now it's also not possible yet to buy the tokens through Steem Keychain or Steem Connect but this should be integrated shorty.

Luckily it will not be long before FreedomEx can proof themselves and I'll be over it and testing it.

It is an insanely huge project though that can bring massive value to Steem. It sure is one to keep an eye on!
