INTRO T&T - YUMMY CURRY

So dinner tonight was unique and delicious, it was a dish birthed here in Trinidad, influenced by Indian cuisine, and is one of the many indotrinidadian dishes in Trinidad, which has a approx a 48% indo trinidadian population. while there are many forms of curry, i believe Trinidad's curry has a special taste. Tonight i had Dhalpourie, which is a type of Roti, made with flour and grounded dhal (boiled & grounded ) split peas. well normally this is followed with some curried duck, chicken, goat aka meat... unfortunately where i am staying everyone is vegetarian so i had curried vege chunks but damn it tastes like chicken, and dont forget pepper, a vital spice in most Indian food. well the pepper wasn't too hot, roti was delicious, curry was a little strong in flavor but hmmmm the combination was still good. and to drink good ole coca cola.
