RE: Problem with the experiment... @smooth, I don't believe this was your intention
Thank you for pointing out the problems on those posts. Those were some of the earliest posts that got voted by my bot under this initiative and some of the parameters were off a bit, but have now been improved. BTW, the voting is not based on 1%-for-1% as you imply in the post but is indeed scaled acccording to the stake of the voter as well as the vote weight.
One thing people can't say if you are using a bot is that you are not doing it subjectively any longer, and you are likely applying it across the board. So it is no more some posts get it, some don't. Your little comment that gets auto added at least explains what is occurring now, so there seems to be less confusion. It makes me think of the old Wang bot, but with a message about a negative event.
Out of curiosity since you are voting via code (your bot) can you actually vote lower than 1% of your power if appropriate? I know we cannot with the slider but I was thinking perhaps that is possible via code.
Not possible the way this bot is implemented but possible for code do in general. The lowest is 0.01%.
Nice I didn't know that. That can help as your voting power of course can be more substantial than some other whales, and sometimes is not. Yet sometimes your 1% if that was the lowest you can go will greatly outweigh the % of the whale you are countering if their % of vote was not high enough.
In such cases you actually lower that post beyond what it would be if there were no whale vote. Which I know is not your goal. So if you could go as low as 0.01% then you likely can mitigate that.
