Recognize the Importance of Failure

in #experience7 years ago

There is always little talk of failure, probably because mistakes causes discomfort, so much that sometimes you even get to deny them. However, this attitude is not helpful to anyone. In reality there is nothing to be ashamed of, but everything to learn.

You can learn a lot from mistakes

It is often denied its existence, but failure not only exists, it is an anchor of salvation because it teaches us to regulate our behavior and to survive in a complex world.
From an early age we have had negative experiences, but they are useful. If a child falls in an attempt to take his first steps, he or she will experience his or her skin what pain and disappointment mean, but he or she will be tempted to try again until he or she can walk without falling. It may seem obvious, but it is not.
Experimenting with failures allows us to recognize a state of unease and do something to change it.

History, moreover, is full of examples that demonstrate this. Einstein, to name just one, was rejected the first time he attempted the admission exam at the ETH Zurich. Not certainly for the gaps in mathematics and physics, it must be said, but for the insufficiency in literary subjects, which he then recovered and the rest of history we all know him has revolutionized the world of physics.

It is clear at this point that personal perception of failure is the keystone, so that failure does not become a definitive defeat, but rather a possibility of further gratification and development.
Usually one tends to overestimate one's mistakes, but whoever has a higher self-esteem (not to be confused with pride) reads failures as less embarrassing and serious. We should never forget that mistakes and failures are part of our lives. Accepting it and giving yourself the chance to experience frustration can be the first step towards a new success.
