Expectations and disappointments
Nowadays, we can talk about the concept of intelligence that has been transformed into torture for children and adolescents.
There is intelligence at the beginning of the issues that parents care about their children. Especially if it is registered with an intelligence test. The smart kid's boiling. Usually for the first time in his life with a specialist, the first time in his life trying to exhibit a talent in this environment, children, this test shapes the future of the score. This score is becoming his identity.
If he scored low on the test, he scored higher, and otherwise he shaped the home, school and social life with labels. According to this identity, his reactions from around him vary. Either way, life is getting harder and harder. If he scored low on the test, this back tag is the biggest obstacle to his potential.
Parents at home, the teacher and his friends between the school is forced to live back with this tag back. Even though he scored high on the test, his superior label could stick to it as a punishment. Expectations and accompanying courses are increasing, children are removed from childhood.
The continuation of this process is often shaped by conflicts and frustrations. Although the definition and content of intelligence, intelligence tests are attempted to be altered, softened and expanded, it does not seem so easy to change the stereotypical definition and judgments in people's minds.
Even the concept of emotional intelligence, which is frequently spoken in recent years, has failed to assign a checker of stereotypes of intelligence.
