RE: I Can’t Complain (But Sometimes I Still Do)
"I have much to be thankful for. And because none of it was the result of my own efforts, I have nothing to boast of." ~@lifebeyondthesea This reminds me of a verse which says:
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. ~Ephesians 2:8-9
Life is not what it seems... I think it is so much more. More good and bad than we realize. But there is abundance of grace and hope. We have hope because of Christ. Because He created us, designed us and knows our humanness.
Hebrews 11:1 says this, "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."
There is so much more to discover and know in Christ.
He is the one who bought and purchased us with His blood. Us...meaning Christ's children. He rescues us. We are only saved by grace, through faith in Christ.
Life is complicated. But salvation is not. It does not make life easier but gives us perspective and purpose. It's not that we have to have a enlightenment experience for life and truth to exist.... but that in obtaining and receiving salvation we find purpose.
