Another great weekend as numbers dwindle
We are close to contemplating whether or not to shut down the season but have not yet done so because Hashing is life. No one has gotten ill yet, or even shown any signs of being sick and it was been weeks now. Would it be smarter for all of us to stay at home and stay away from one another? Absolutely, and it is likely irresponsible of us that we are still hashing now.
Last Thursday and Saturday hashes were sparsely attended with us barely breaking 12 members at the Thursday Happy Hash. There are many reasons for this and believe it or not Corvid is not the main one. It plays a part that is for sure but the number one reason is that the pollution has chased most of our pack out of the city.
For the time being we still have enough to make it worthwhile and maybe we are a bit spoiled here. 12 is likely a great turnout for a number of hashes in the world.
However, we are considering "closing up shop" because of the virus. We did introduce a bunch of precautions but it might be the more sensible thing for us to just call off the whole thing for the sake of complying with the self-imposed quarantine.
We will call a vote this week during events. As for now the events will continue as planned unless ordered to stop doing them by the police or a government official of some sort.
The pickup time is at the Tha Pae Mc Donalds at 3:45. Despite dwindling numbers we still will not wait for anyone so don't be late!
