How to protect your cryptocurrency wallets?

You may have heard about " clipboard hijackings ", one of the most common attacks by malicious hackers. This type of hijackings aims to steal information or money from users. But most of this type of problem is not at the technical level (machine), but at the fact that the user does not know the basic concepts underlying all issues of computing.

Here are some tips to protect your online wallets:

👨🏼 Apps on Google Play and the App Store

➤ Don't install tons of mobile applications without much need;
➤ Add Two Factor Authorization-identification to all applications on the smartphone;
➤ Make sure you are downloading the official version of the apps.

✅ Add-ons and cryptocurrency trading

➤ Do not download any crypto add-ons ;
➤ Use a specific browser for operations involving cryptocurrencies;
➤ Select an incognito mode;
➤ Get a separate PC or smartphone just for crypto trading;
➤ Download an antivirus and install a firewall.

📲 Identification by SMS

➤ Turn off call forwarding to make it impossible for an attacker to access your data;
➤ When the password is sent in the text, use a two-factor identification software solution.

🔊 Public Wi-Fi

➤ Never make crypto transactions over public Wi-Fi, even if you are using a VPN;
➤ Update your own router firmware regularly.

👯 Sites-clones and phishing

➤ Never interact with cryptocurrency-related sites without HTPPS protocol;
➤ When using Chrome, customize the extension.
➤ When you receive messages from resources related to cryptocurrency, copy the link to the browser address field and compare it to the original site address;
➤ If you receive a suspicious e-mail, close the window and delete the e-mail from your inbox.
