Steem ended in second place

in #exchange-blast6 years ago

Well that is it, Steem ended the Netcoins listing contest in second place. This gives Steem the opportunity of getting listed with a 25% off listing fee, I wonder if it is worth it, it is normally at $30,000.00 25% off leaves it at $22,500.00 I don't believe STINC is going to pay that.

The winner is INS some grocery purchasing token that I and probably most people have never heard of. Was there something funny in the way INS won? Well for starters they managed to get over at least 15,000 votes today so yes I think something out of the ordinary happened, probably some people were using bots, but I think all the coins that came out in the first places had their fair share of cheating, so I guess there will be some sort of verifying process and maybe Steem cheated less and in the end manages to win.

Apart from that I think it is disappointing that Steemit only managed to have such a small fraction of its members voting for Steem, I would have thought that Steem should have been able to very easily get at least 8 or 10,000 votes per day giving a total of nearly 50,000 votes but we didn't even get half way there.

Of course even with 50,000 votes it doesn't mean Steem would have won, if bots were used to win it would have been just as easy to get as many votes as necessary for the coin that won. But at least we would have seen that Steemians can and will come up whenever they are needed.

Perhaps if this contest had been held before Hardfork 20 we would have had many more votes.

It is inorganic the way INS won, never heard of this project!

Definitely smells like some funny business happened on the votes.
