Evra officially returned to the Premier League
Patrice Evra is officially a West Ham player. The 36-year left-back contract is until the end of June when he returns to Premier League after defending Manchester United's colors in 2006-2014. In his last season at Old Trafford, Evra worked with David Moyce, the current hammer manager.
France's former captain was fired from his last club, Marseille, after kicking a fan before a match against Europa League against Vitoria (Guimaraes) on Nov. 2. Because of this, he was punished by UEFA not playing in European club tournaments until the end of the season. This sanction, however, does not prevent him from attending Premier League meetings.
Everton also showed interest in the Eve, but the defender chose West Ham's offer. He will play with # 27 for Londoners.
"I'm very happy to be one of the hammers and come back to the Premier League, I love this game, and it's incredible to be part of the Premier League, and I thank West Ham for giving me this opportunity," said Evera.
