In my last article I described the Eventum platform and how its work.Now, I will talk about the Eventum Alpha protocol. Like I mentioned in the article, having a workable platform even before the ICO is really huge news, since many cryptocurrencies in the first 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization don't have a workable product.
The Eventum team already tested 5 different categories in 8 events on the Alpha platform. All "categories" will be part of the Eventum platform. These 5 categories are:

• Real-time video analysis
• Esports
• Content moderation
• Image Recognition
• News

About the events

The events start at a certain time and last until people reach consensus, when the majority of people participating agree about the results. First, people participating needed to install Metamask add on on their browser, in order to join the event at least half an hour before the event starts. All the participants were rewarded for their contribution in helping to test the platform with ETH and EVT tokens. The total reward increased from the first event at 1 ETH and 10,000 EVT tokens to 8 ETH and 1,000,000 EVT tokens at the last event. Rewards were distributed among all participants that were part of consensus, with people with people who answered faster receiving more rewards.

Image recognition

There were 3 different events in these category: Black Friday test, Winter testand Emotion recognition. Participants needed to decipher what emotions were people showing on the pictures and perform simple math.

News

There was only one event in this category, with participants having to decide which news were fake and which were real. There were 3 different news to decide on.

Content moderation

In this category, there were 2 different events: Inappropriate content filtering and Crypto scam detection. Participants needed to recognize which tweets were inappropriate and which were a scam.

Esports

There was only one event in this category, with participants having to watch a game of DOTA and report who drew the first blood in the finals of ESL One Katowice 2018 Major.

Real-time video analysis

In this category, people needed to watch a video and report when any suspicious activity in the video feed STARTS (i.e. anything out of ordinary starts happening).

Upcoming events

There is at least one more upcoming event, part of image labeling category. 1,000,000 EVT and 8 ETH tokens will be distributed among the participants. Participants will have to recognize the contents of a set of images and label them accordingly.

Conclusion

All the events are a proof that Eventum Alpha platform works. It is also shown, that with the more and more people knowing about Eventum, there are more people participating in the events. First event had only 19 data providers and the last event 315 participants. That's a staggering increase. If the Eventum team manages to implement thing learned from the Eventum Alpha platform to the main platform, Eventum platform will be a huge success. Adding a mobile application to increase "mobility" of data providers, will only add another boost to the platform.
