In Today's blog I'm going to share with you about a event that is going on in my locality. I live in a place called Jamugurihat in the state of Assam, India.The event is a cultural one namely-“Barechaharia Bhaona”.

The term Barechaharia actually means 12 villages. It's so because when first time this event was held, 12 villages took part. But now more than 12 villages are included.
And Bhaona is like a traditional form of entertainment where religious story are played.
It all started in 1797-98. So you can imagine how much old this event is!

Now back to the topic, this event occurs after every 5 years. Every time guests are invited, like Chief Minister, Governor of Assam.
But this time respected Home Minister of India came and paid a visit.That's awesome! Isn't it?
Moreover i also met some awesome people of France and Germany.

This Event is composed of 4days, but Bhaona is performed on the 2nd & 3rd day.
And the last day will be a function where one of the top singer of the state will be performing. So this event is gaining popularity in the country.
