Ieva Zasimauskaité's message from Lithuania

“Don’t look at a country when you vote, just look with your heart. And if you like that song and if you like that artist, don’t think this is from [that country], I will not vote for it….Just be kind. We are making music here and we want to get out from those walls and get out of those wars and everything. Just vote how you are really feeling and with your heart.”

At the Riga Pre-Party Ieva Zasimauskaité made the statement above. She is representing Lithuania with “When We’re Old" in Eurovision 2018. The song tells a beautiful story about growing old and can be viewed below.

The message she tells from her statement to WIWI blogs also an important one. May people vote based on predetermined feeling towards a country and not an act. This means often good acts from countries people don't typically like do poorly. So thank you Ieva for both of you messages so far this year.
