The short term gains for DOGE are just a reflection of the gains of the crypto market. When Doge was created as a joke the software engineer took their sarcasm to an extreme. DOGE is inflationary by design. More DOGE is created incrementally to no end. The longer you hold it the less it is worth. It is one of the worst crypto currencies a person can hold.
