RE: OPINION =/= FACT

in #ethics4 years ago

Please simply present your LIST of "eternal objective principles" instead of hiding them behind an "appeal-to-ignorance".

I'd love to believe in "purely-objective-truth-facts". Just tell me what you know for certain are "purely-objective-truth-facts" so I can adopt them.

Simply insisting "they exist" is not sufficient evidence.

Is the value of the free market system not an eternal principle, for example, worth preserving for as long as we can?

Are you suggesting that "free-market-economics" is at the top of your LIST of "eternal objective principles"?

It would seem that "free-market-economics" is generally a "good" thing in most situations, but it is not a "universal good". Different markets require different levels of regulation in order to preserve maximum benefit.

Are you conflating principles with programs? It seems that you are. I try to talk about principles. Now, you hammer on specific applications, that is programs, which extends and branches off from the generality of thee eternal principles which includes the meaning to life which involves making choices. There is so much value in individuals making choices on their own towards destiny. That is what Original Green Oatmeal and Hope Over Dope and Joy Over Circumstances and L4OJ and Love Through Action and Glad Rad Dad over Sad Mad Bad Fad is and are all about. I believe in individualism. You might be promoting elements of collectivism which is involved in Agenda 2030 which is all about reducing the global population of the world to under 500 million people in the next few years or as soon as possible with the help of Bill Gates and others.

Please reveal your LIST of "eternal-objective-principles" when you get a chance.

Are you saying that I have to be omniscient before I can have my own free speech to reference an awareness to possible principles out there? In other words, if I don't make a concrete list, then that means there aint any at all?

If I told you I knew the secret to the meaning of life and ultimate truth, but I refused to tell you exactly what it was, WOULD YOU BELIEVE ME?

Oh yeah, I know it.

TOTALLY.

Just trust me.

And if you don't believe me, YOU MUST BE A DIRTY COMMIE CANNIBAL!!

You can't go around telling people you "follow supercoolawesome objective eternal principles" and then REFUSE to provide a LIST.

How can you "follow" something if you don't know exactly what it is or exactly where it is?

The whole point of "objective principles" is to provide PRACTICAL REAL-WORLD-GUIDELINES that are NOT subject to OPINION.

Any "objective principle" would necessarily be OBVIOUS and easily identifiable to everyone everywhere.

It depends on whether or not I already made thousands of videos about some of these things, that is at least four YouTube channels, with hundreds of hours of videos which go back to when I was turning eleven years old in 1996 in Oregon, which Alphabet Google terminated, deleted, destroyed, and also articles, posts, where I talk about the value in loving your neighbor as yourself in some ways perhaps, in maybe considering the ten commandments for example, in perhaps considering the golden rule, in valuing the meaning to life which involves freewill, in the value of libertarianism, anarchy, conservatism, classical liberalism, decentralization, competition, free markets, respect, free speech, the second amendment, the fourth amendment, etc, in shrinking the size of federal governments, and perhaps also state governments as well sometimes, etc, etc, etc.

Then it seems like, with your extensive experience on the subject, that it should be quite simple to produce a LIST of easy-to-follow, practical, real-world "objective eternal principles".
