RE: Is there an Etiquette Guide for Steemit?

in #ethics5 years ago (edited)

You want to make change around here right?

If that is the case, then why do you take the effort to talk in ways which will not tag @steemcleaners and @gooddream, and all the others that you speak so lowly about?

What is the fear, you can simply mute them and look the other way right?

Sort:

But I thought muting and looking the other way was the solution to problems here, instead of confronting head on?

@logiczombie, your logic is starting to become very confusing to me my friend, if not contradictory.

If you absolutely hate or disapprove of someone, you can mute them.

I don't hate or disapprove of anyone, I'm just trying to figure out what's going on by asking questions.

You can do as you see fit, and so can everyone else. If people can't defend their downvotes with some coherent moral theory, then they simply need to admit that they are purely opinion based downvotes. You can't really say "these people don't deserve steem, but these other people deserve steem" without explaining the salient difference between the two groups.

It should be a very simple matter to explain why bid-bots and self-voters are downvoted. Where's the rule? What's the real-world-correlation, what moral principle are you defending?

Because at this point, it looks like they're just walking down the street and kicking over the tip-cups of all the street performers they don't like and then scooping up the nickles and dimes that roll into the sewer.

Good idea!

So make a post asking why, boost it to the moon, and you will get answers from them! 😃
