A Distinction between Greed & Selfishness

Many people have been socially programmed to believe that selfishness, self-interest and greed are all synonymous and equally evil .

I propose a different way to look at this.

I consider greed to be the following:
When an individual uses immoral and unethical means to accomplish their goal of acquiring wealth or influence, i.e. stealing, violence, coercion, fraud, etc.

Likewise I consider selfishness as the following:
When an individual uses ethical and moral means to acquire that which they desire, i.e. honesty, voluntary trade and interaction, respect for others and their justly acquired property, abiding by contract law, the non-initiation of force, etc.

Thanks to the system we live under (Fascism / Corporatism / Statism / Socialism / Crony-Capitalism, whatever you like to call it) the bold faced lie that this is somehow a free market has successfully been interwoven into the societal narrative.

Reject greed, envy, covetousness, these are part of "The Problem".

Embrace self-interest, respect for others, the non-initation of force, voluntary interaction.

Free your mind, and reject the lie.
