I'm in a group on WeChat, Chinese version Whatup, with a bunch expat crypto traders living all over this country and got a link from Twitter this morning with high expectations. The article is in Chinese so it might take a a few hours to make on Twitter in English. Maybe it is now but you saw it here first.

Basically the article says this exchange will now let people cash out their ETH.

So what's to stop them from Shapeshifting their BTC to ETH now?

It is weird and interesting that ETH, for the time being, can be properly used. I do wonder about guanxi at play or maybe they have been overlooked by the officials here. OR maybe the officials here have more money in ETH than BTC, lol
