Etherstocks- what is it?

If you are a regular you might have seen @brittuf mention this game, Etherstocks (http://stocks-game.funsite.cz/stocks.html ), that is in prelaunch. The project just got a brand new team and about to get a major site makeover! If you are looking for investments, it might be a good time for it.
What is it you ask?
Etherstocks is a game; the rules are simple, try and make money buying and selling “stocks”. You can do this in a couple ways, you can simply buy low, sell high, or you can hodl and collect dividends.
Can you make money playing this game?
Sure you can, but you can lose it too, look at this as strictly entertainment…whatever you are willing to spend on any other game is probably a good amount to spend on this game.
What causes “stocks” to go up or down? And how are dividends paid?
When someone purchases or sells shares of any stock 10% of the buy/sell price is split by the total number of shares and given as locked-in dividends (priced in Ether) to all previous buyers based on how many shares they own—Thus the 20% difference between buy and sell price. The price of shares will go up by .25% after purchases, and decrease by .25% after sells. That’s it, there is no other way to change, or manipulate prices outside of buying and selling.
Are there any fees or commissions?
No, there are no commissions or rake of any kind. Each “Stock” is really its own smart contract, and they are all identical. The only fees would be the gas paid to send money through Metamask, you can read about this here (https://steemit.com/ethereum/@tomshwom/ethereum-gas-how-it-works)

I would also follow @brittuf because he lets people know before he is about to buy stocks, so that those who buy before him get dividends. He also has some cryptokitty free giveaways for those investing as an added bonus.
This is however a risk and you should not spend anything you would not want to lose. Do your own research and reach your own conclusions!
That being said, the site is doing surprisingly well for such terrible website design, that I can only imagine it will do much better once the upgrades have been rolled out.
