PoWH Ponzi Pals: The Clone Wars

I’m sure a lot of you are familiar with this Ponzi pyramid craze we’ve been having as of late. But how do you know they are legitimate? Will they exit scam? Is there an exploit? Did they mess up their math? There’s a lot of factors you need to be watching for when dealing with this kind of Dapp, but they aren’t all terrible.

So the big name you have probably seen is PoWH3D, which means Proof of Weak Hands. The concept was designed to have those with “weak hands,” a term reffering to the inability to hodl, pay off into the true hodlers pockets. Every transaction, buy or sell, produces dividends for every other token holder. It’s a unique way to reward those who hold off longer before selling. Unfortunately some of these Developers failed to properly create contracts, and a lot of Eth has been stolen in the past months. As well as a few Developers are too good, and sneakily put in exit scams to, once again, steal all your Eth.

So how do you know who to trust? You could buy into the overpriced PoWH3D. Or sit there and gruelingly read every line of code in a new PoW[X] clone contract. Another option is to have blind faith to anyone shilling a masternodes and throw your Eth in. None of these are really good options though. So where do we go from here? Well luckily this is actually how EtherStocks came to be.
