Russia's Largest Bank Joins Enterprise Ethereum Alliance

The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance just added Sberbank, Russia's largest bank to the country's growing list of joining banks.

Sberbank bank plans to do operations with foreign-based financial institutions and other banks, to do some international transactions and to see how they can increase the transparency and improve the trust between banks and corporate clients.

This is a step forward for banks. Most banks frown of transparency causing slow adoption. I guess this is a form of transparency Russian banks are willing to exploit. It's a start, although I wonder if an open ledger is something they would ever adopt for the banks full records disclosure.
