This should cause a spike in the price of ETH in the near future, particularly if theDAO HF successfully refunds token holders with no hiccups.
Now, should only be a matter of time before Coinbase's competitor Circle adds a ETH purchase function. More value boost.
Worst case scenario: the influx of new tokens causes a drop in price, the Coinbase news should balance it out.
