$300 MILLION Worth of Ether Permanently FROZEN
While Ethereum itself is fine, a bug in wallets built by Parity, caused $300 worth of funds to be frozen. Of course these addresses can still receive Ether, but will not be able to send the Ether elsewhere. Any addresses that are publicly listed will need to be changed by those who are effected, which can be a hassle to do. If the addresses aren't changed and users send funds to them, it's basically the same thing as losing your wallet, it benefits nobody.
Unlike hacks where the money was taken, this was accidentally frozen. The cause of this accident is the result of attempting to fix a vulnerability where hackers could steal money from users. A hard fork would be necessary to fix the issue, however the entire community must agree to it to prevent the community from splitting.
The markets aren't effected as the price is steadily rising. Time will tell what will happen, will it continue rising or will it drop? This isn't the first time Parity had a serious issue with their wallets.

That stinks! Ethereum could be a reliable currency in addition to Bitcoin, but it's network is not as strong.
