Tired of Altcoin FOMO

Folks... I've been watching the Altcoins go bonkers the past several weeks and started dabbling... I caught a few decent upswings, however, did not feel comfortable putting more than a few hundred dollars in each play. In the meantime, my core holdings in Bitcoin and Ethereum have been keeping up which makes me think I'm just wasting my time.

Is it better to sit and trade Altcoins or just hoard and accumulate the flagship cryptos (ie. Bitcoin and Ethereum)? What has been the experience of you folks that are more active trading the cryptos?
