China starting to trade ETC today (27/07/2016)
Bitfinex representatives confirmed that the Hong Kong-based exchange would list ETC as early as Wednesday.

Vitalik Buterin said that the foundation (Ethereum) will not oppose or hinder any efforts to use the Ethereum code to create other blockchains or, for that matter, “the community effort to continue the no-fork chain”, known as Ethereum Classic or ETC.
It’s hardly a secret that many community members weren’t welcoming the hard fork. One of the most popular opinion is that the code is the law, and changing it in an attempt to redeem money means that theoretically Ethereum developers’ hands are untied to do the same again anytime and with any money. Charles Hoskinson, one of Ethereum co-founders, was especially dismissive about the hard fork solution.
China's investors seem to be heading into this direction, since they are mostly against hard fork as a solution to attacks made on the Ethereum blockchain.
It will be interesting to see how China's investors react to this new currency that offers an alternative to Ether(ETH)
