I have a good friend that has been in cryptos since near the beginning, and he
is saying that ETH will be dominant by 2020 or earlier. At least on par with BTC by then... ;)

I'm assuming there isn't really a solid exchange that can stand up to heavy traffic so even if I wanted to get into the micro exchanging it wouldn't be reliable because if an exchange goes down my advantage is lost. Or is there something that can withstand the load?
bitmex works fine for me, but you can make a coinigy account and trade on most exchanges using api.
