I think POW is the only proven strong way to secure a blockchain. The risk of a 51% attack is in my opinion way bigger when ETH shifts to POS, because the bankers could own already a huge % of the stake.
Indeed ETH will face the first scaling problems soon and probably other problems too. I think the drop will go further to maybe 100 USD / ETH and 'better Ethereums' will profit, same like 'better bitcoins' like Dash, Decred, PICX, ect. did when BTC faced problems.
Thanks for your opinoion, when Btc faced problems never struggled but the price didn't fall. What we will see when POS is activated. People will not sell ETH cause they try hold for better price. The holding of ETH will effect the price to go up. Of course if we know what will happened for sure we would invest or take money now!
