I am not a Blender user and I am not into 3D industry but I found that information you tell in the video about the integration with Golem a real game changer.

Unreal Engine allows creators to compile games created with their engine on a compiler farm. However, as far as I know, it only works with computers on the local area network.

Blender then is allowing creators to do something similar but using thousand of computers around the world.

If someone here is interested in that way of sharing computer time, I highly recommend to try Folding@home, from the Stanford University: it works on the CPU and it is about calculating proteins shapes. Quite the same as Boinc. The difference here is that Folding@home pays you in Curecoin.

Curecoin can be exchanged to bitcoin in Bittrex and is quite liquid.
