There are a lot of stipulations around whether or not any other cryptocurrency can ever truly take the place of bitcoin, which essentially pioneered the market for everyone else. I guess we will have to wait and see!
Well that depends on how vitalik buterin decides to go with the ethereum main chain. We know there are 95 million in circulation almost 6 time more than bitcoin, but vitalik himself said that there are too many ethereum sand has a plan that will both protect the system from a 51% attack and burn all the attackers ethereum. Which would slowly but surely reduce the desire to attack substantially and also decrease total circulation increasing the value of the coin over time. For ethereum to hit ten k right now it would need to hit 950billion dollars. And that’s a tremendous amount more than the current 30b it’s worth. Not to say it won’t, but not for at least 2 years.
