Well, if someone writes some ETH code that does something amazing. Like parts distribution, then putting it on ETC is far more economical.
Meaning, anything that isn't ERC-20 would be better served on ETC, and soooooo, we wait for those apps. And i have heard rumor of them coming.

And, what is your path for conversion of STEEM to ETC?
