The marketplace is governed by the Wemark protocol which allows trustless transactions to take place and offers photographers the ability to pay only a marketplace fee of 15% to Wemark, a value far smaller than existing industry giants.

An additional feature that Wemark protocol does is that it make the sale of stock photos in Wemark tokens. Thus, the flow of income from stock photos on Wemark is tokenized. Additionally, further development of the Wemark protocol will allow the earnings from a stock photos sale to be split among any number of wallets. The result is that a stock photos income can be split among many people.

As the protocol is already tokenizing the income of the stock photo, it not only becomes possible, but extremely easy to tokenize stock photos on the marketplace and sell them. Photographers will now have the ability to tokenize their stock photos and sell them to any number of investors. Stock photos generally create income over time. However, ambitious photographers who immediately seek better equipment or funds to create better sets, travel to new landscape, or any other purpose can sell the photos for an upfront earning and the investors can then get the future income a stock photo drives.

Stock photos can now become an asset class for the masses.
