Also, Microsoft Azure is supporting operating systems other than proprietary Microsoft operating systems.

Microsoft is leading the charge to use blockchain technology to transform many industries. It’s been working on its Blockchain-as-a-Service on its Azure cloud platform since November 2015.
Microsoft is bullish on the Ethereum platform, which uses blockchain for its cryptocurrency named “Ether.” But Ethereum also has gained recognition as a platform for other blockchain applications such as smart contracts.
Etherium is second in commmand, its holding its own and that's great! But I'm still saying , it a great investment, but everything Is trading for bitcoin,so makes me want bitcoin!
The other is litecoin, after that to many alt coins...
Then I just look at physical Gold and Silver!!!
Microsoft, and these other technology leaders, selected Ethereum because they did not want to use the same technology as IBM. They wanted an alternative to the leading cryptocurrency technology.
The advancement of technology these days is unbelievable as well as overwhelming! My hat is off to the ones that this comes so easy to.
Microsoft offering tutorials and integrated development environments(IDE) for those interested in programming for this technology. Microsoft and this consortium are looking to use Ethereum platform for solutions in financial transactions as contracts.
