KIK Will Be On The Ethereum Blockchain!!
Finally a major social company is starting to realize blockchain technology is the future. Kik is social platform like Messenger worth billions of dollars. They will be the first major social media company adapting to blockchain.
How will it be done?
Kik will launch a cryptocurrency on the Ethereum blockchain called Kin with the function of combining Kik with blockchain. Kin itself will have services, but with the Kik-app the circle will be complete. This process will of course take awhile to accomplish. However, we are not talking about a new social media company like Steemit which has during the last month gone bullish. We are talking about a company with about 15 million users.
What will this do to the Ethereum community and blockchain in general?
Much of this says itself. Blockchain is the future of technology and the major companies have finally opened their eyes. If companies like Kik start to use Ethereum as their platform, Etherum is automatically integrated more and more to society. This will be good for those who earn ethers (like me).
Ethereum has now around 160 000 transactions each day and with 15 million new users on the Ethereum blockchain this will most likely rise dramatically.
Conclusion
In addition to what Ethereum has accomplished already, there is more to come for this technology and community. I can't see a society without blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies and I guess I am not the only one when now Kik is realizing its potential.
