How to get a free blockchain dragon?

We have received many messages containing one important question: how can I get a Genesis dragon egg? That's why we have written this step-by-step instruction for everyone.

It is vitally important that you join us for Genesis as we will be distributing the eggs completely free of charge, that's right, FREE OF CHARGE!!!

If you miss out and don't manage to grab a free egg then don't despair, you can still get one after the event from someone who was smart enough to join us for Genesis.

To get it started, we just want to remind you all again, that we don't charge money for Genesis eggs, they're completely free!!

The only thing you have to do for obtaining the egg is to win the gas auction, that means placing the highest bid in gas among other participants. This gas then goes to miners as a fee.

Please do not buy any eggs before the Genesis date. Anyone claiming to sell them before this date will not be legit and we do not accept liability for any loss.

So, the necessary steps to get your first egg are:

Go to dragonereum.io
Activate the MetaMask plugin in your browser.
Press the "Start playing" button in the top-right corner (it will be there on the day of launch).
Allow our website to access your MetaMask wallet information.
Once done you'll see an egg with its family type, its bonuses and the "Claim" button.
Set the gas price that you think will outbid other participants directly in our dapp user interface.
Press the "Claim" button.
A MetaMask popup window will appear. You can also edit your gas price here.
Confirm the transaction.
If you win the gas auction, the egg token will be transferred to your Ethereum address.
Congratulations, you're the proud owner of the Genesis dragon egg!
Repeat if you want more dragons. The new egg will be available in the next block.

As you can see, it's incredibly easy. The only tricky part here is to set a sufficient gas price, because there will be many dragon claimants and you'll need some luck to get it. If you lose the auction - don't give up, try to claim the next egg. The competition will be tough, but it's definitely worth it. Remember, there will only be 10,000 Genesis eggs released. Make sure you don't miss out!
