Thanks Ivan! I agree with you that the future is not in PoW. I do however think that there is much value to having a PoW component in the consensus mechanism. Since like you said, involving risk in the 'real world' will always be a good 'stick' that keeps more people honest.

Hybrids of PoW and PoS or (d)BFT will be most interesting in the coming 12-24 months I guess. Pure PoS of dPoS are still somehow tricky, even though they are highly efficient, they are likely to be less secure.
