I've never really been a fan of ethereum (I've nothing against it either) nothing really useful that I know of has been built on it and crypto-kitties brought it to standstill. I don't think it has a big enough brand outside of the crypto space to see off a new competing blockchain that delivers what so far ethereum has only promised.
I've only briefly looked into EOS and got kinda put off by it currently only being an Eth token?
From what I've seen Cardano (ADA) looks like it will be a very big player in the 3rd gen of blockchains.
