Ethereum cloud mining experiment - #1 Buying the contract
Hi guys,
I just recently bought a 2 years cloud mining contract at genesis-mining.com for Ethereum with 5 MH/s of mining power which has cost me 150$.
Since I did some research and apparently the difficulty for ETH mining is going up exponentially, I decided to mine the good old Ether Classis ETC for which the difficulty should not skyrocket like for ETH.
According to the calulations I made, I would be at the break-even point after exactly 237.17 days, given that there are no changes in price or difficulty. So in practice I can say that I would be happy to at least be break-even after the first year.

Now I'm planning to do a weekly review of my real earnings and experiences compared to what the calculations are promissing and at the end of the month I will also recapture the number of the whole month.
So now please let me know your thoughts about this. Let's see if cloud mining is a scam or if you cann really make a (small) profit out of it.
