Is Ethereum development feasible on a Chromebook running Ubuntu?

I was thinking about developing on the Ethereum platform and was looking for the ideal linux laptop to do it on. Chromebooks look nice since they're cheap and can run google play apps on Chrome OS as well. The main downfall is that Chromebooks have really small hard drives and from what I'm reading, blockchains take up a lot of space. Does anyone on steemit have any experience with this?
