TIME TO MATURE FOR ETHEREUM? Midweek Crypto News
After the last few weeks, it is about time we had some good news in the crypto world!
And it came on Monday morning, on Monday (19th September 2017) Ethereum enjoyed the greatest growth among the top cryptocurrencies, increasing by more than 12% taking its price to over $286 and its market capitalization to more than $27 billion.
Ethereum has demonstrated volatility in recent months after fantastic initial growth.
There is little doubt about Ethereum's potential. Over the last few months the news was rife with stories about smart contracts disrupting the financial services and Ethereum's use within the Internet of Things. However, I feel that now is the time for Ethereum to take it to that next level and mature as a cryptocurrency.
However with recent price surges and positive news such as Byzantium, the first part of ethereum's long-awaited Metropolis upgrade; things are looking good for Vitalik Buterin's creation.
There is no doubt that Ethereum has huge potential – but now is the time for this to be reflected in the price of Ether and the functionality of the Ethereum platform.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle leaving the harbour. Seems like they are doing their pre-checks. Should go well. Let's not forget that the price of ethereum really is based on the price of the need for "gas". Currently ETH very speculative and overpriced according to a lot of data.

In ethereum we trust! :) Its fulminant rise and the powerful names behind the Ethereum Alliance makes it a promising contender for bitcoin's first place.
At least in the close to medium term future.
And I wasn't able to jump in after it broke the wall before its rally.
