Ethereum appears to be gaining market share on Bitcoin in terms of total market capitalization. I will still stay invested in both currencies for now but it seems like it would be wise to diversify and invest in both currencies.

Of course everything is speculation .. but some suggest Ethereum over taking Bitcoin by the end of 2018, some suggest maybe even as soon as the end of this year
