US: DFS Issues License to Coinbase for Providing Additional Virtual Currency Services

The New York State's Department of Financial Services lumps several announcements in their latest press release. But the key takeaways are the approval of Coinbase's application to offer New York customers (1) Ether and (2) access to Shift Card, a VISA debit card that allows Coinbase users in New York as well as other select territories to spend bitcoin anywhere VISA is accepted.
